Beth Sometimes (NZ)
Two related performance works explore vulnerability, strength and trial, using other senses and the good-will of strangers to navigate. The Blind Sailor takes power from Wellington’s wind and human currents. Beth Sometimes’ work is guided by the vulnerable and the real. She has worked as a curator, producer, musician, interpreter, workshop facilitator, musical director and artist. She has been involved in a range of performances, publications, exhibitions and recording projects in Central Australia, Melbourne and NZ.

Combat Police Brotherhood Ritual II
Samin Son (NZ/South Korea)
Prolific performance artist Samin Son examines military conformity and order with this development of a series of work drawing on his experience serving in the South Korean military police.

FEBRUARY 15 + 16, 6pm.

 

Cooking Class II
Margarita Ianev and Mathilde Polmard (NZ)
A culinary performance that invites passers by to help in the preparation of a shared feast.

FEBRUARY 16, 12-6pm

 

F.O.L.D.
Flux Productions (NZ)
 A collective origami project. The goal: to fold enough origami to fill a vessel, bringing Wellington together to share a love of the creative capital. When the goal is reached, a fiery, ceremonial display and gathering releases the origami back into the wind of Wellington

Flux Productions works with dance and performance art and is committed to presenting work by New Zealand artists that encourage a more active connection between audience and performer.
FEBRUARY 17, 7.30pm for final gathering/performance.
