Open Plan: art party

Exciting special news! We invite you to help us make an art party in Wellington on November 3 – and come have one great night with us all.

SAMIN SON (from the White Fungus 2012 NZ Tour)
JULIAN PRIEST (The Performance Arcade 2011, Wellington)
ALL SEEING HAND (experimental sound masters)
LINDA T (from D.A.N.C.E. Art Club and The Performance Arcade 2011, Auckland)
BETH SOMETIMES (The Performance Arcade 2013, Wellington)

To be a part of it go here: and naturally help spread the word to others.

Together with Letting Space we are celebrating independent, boundary-breaking art making in Wellington: acknowledging the work of the fabulous artists and volunteers who have worked on The Performance Arcade and Letting Space projects over the last three years, christening the future for the city as a crucible for temporary public artwork.

All we need you to do is help fund the party by pledging $10 or more now through PledgeMe as your admission cost. Importantly, the party will only happen if people pledge now. There are no mystery art patrons, and likely no door sales – only us, collectively making something special happen by making our target by 28 October. If we don’t we may not be able to run it (at least not as it deserves to be), so this really is the time to commit together to make it happen.

Saturday November 3rd, 2012, 8pm – 12am
@ The Sustainability Trust, Forrester Lane, Wellington
BYO drinks (if we raise more than $1200 then the first drink is on us!)

The party will follow a public presentation about Letting Space, Performance Arcade and Gapfiller at City Gallery Wellington from 3-5pm.

Pledging $10 gets one invite, $20 two invites, and  those who can offer $50 will receive two invites, a postcard set of Letting Space work, and an invite to the opening of The Performance Arcade on February 13, 2013. And if you want to pledge more to thank these artists, Wellington artists bow to you!
